• Your budgets

  budgets

  Budget names, currency locale (ISO code, symbol, separators), date format, and first/last month. No transaction data.

• Your accounts

  accounts

  Account names, types, on-budget status, balances, last reconciliation, direct-import status, and loan-specific details (interest rates, minimum payments, escrow). No individual transactions.

• Account balances (daily)

  account_stats

  Daily snapshot of balance, cleared_balance, and uncleared_balance (YNAB milliunits). Each record covers one calendar day for one account.

• Your budget category groups

  category_groups

  Group names (Fixed Expenses, Wants, etc.) and hidden/deleted flags. Group-level note if set.

• Your budget categories

  categories

  Category names, group memberships, budgeted/activity/balance amounts, and goal tracking (target, cadence, percentage complete, underfunding).

• Your payees

  payees

  Names of merchants, people, and accounts you’ve transacted with. Transfer payees (linking to your own accounts) included.

• Payee GPS locations

  payee_locations

  Latitude/longitude coordinates linked to payees, typically added via the YNAB mobile app. Useful for matching transactions to merchant locations.

• Your transactions

  Date, amount (milliunits), payee, category, memo, cleared status (cleared/uncleared/reconciled), approved flag, flag color/name, transfer details, import dedup IDs, original statement payee name, and any subtransactions (splits) nested on the parent. Does not include bank statements or receipts.

• Your scheduled transactions

  scheduled_transactions

  Upcoming recurring transactions with frequency (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.), next occurrence date, account, payee, category, amount, and any subtransactions.

• Monthly budget summaries

  months

  For each budget month: income received, total assigned, activity (spending), to-be-budgeted, and age of money. Useful for budget analytics and trend analysis.

• Monthly category history

  month_categories

  For each (budget, month, category): how much was assigned (budgeted), how much was spent (activity), leftover balance, and goal progress (type, target, percent complete, underfunding) as it stood in that month. Useful for budget trend analysis and answering ‘what did I budget for groceries last March?’.
