VANA Leadership Weekend 2007 BIG Success

We had a very successful leadership weekend September 14 to 16th at beautiful Wintergreen Resort.  18 CRNAs embarked on a ropes course which was challenging, fun, and did lead to some new styles of problem solving among the participants.

In addition to the team building activities there were several brainstorming and planning sessions among the VANA Board of Directors and the other VANA members. Ideas for the upcoming year were formulated and tasks delegated to board and committee members.

We spent Sunday morning working on the mission statement with a lot of progress. Here is what the group proposed: The Virginia Association of Nurse Anesthetist's mission is to promote safe anesthesia care and to advance and enhance the art and science of the profession of nurse anesthesia in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
