VANA Leadership Weekend - September

Leadership weekend is a retreat designed to evaluate the past year and form a strategic plan for the upcoming year. All members are welcome and in fact VANA picks up the tab for the first 25 who RSVP to attend this annual meeting. Have no fear, it is always a laid back weekend and always very enjoyable. Come join us and get a glimpse into what your state organization is doing for you. Who knows, you might find it fun as well.

Leadership Weekend September 26th and 27th, 2009

Where would we be without great leaders? How important is it to be a leader? Do you think you have leadership qualities? Would you like to gain these skills?

Four years ago I went to a leadership conference in Williamsburg, VA provided by the Virginia Association Of Nurse Anesthetists. I thought it sounded interesting and the conference was close to home, so off I went. That weekend I found in myself a great need to share my ideas. I was bursting with ideas! The conference inspired me and with so many great opportunities it was hard to choose. I learned that there were people to help guide and teach me and I lost the fear of not knowing what to do. I started learning along the way. There are so many creative outlets within our state association to express yourself, share ideas and give back. Please join us for our Leadership Retreat in Williamsburg, at Kingsmill Resort September 26^th& 27th and maybe find an outlet for your passions. Discover what strengths you may have as a leader!! It will be a growing experience and a lot of fun! I guarantee you will learn something about yourself and gain valuable tools to use in all facets of your life.
